It is finally upon us....Opening day 2011, season XXII!
After a long winter and a wet spring we are finally ready to start the 2011 season. Opening day has always been a time to
get the rust off, see all of our friends after a long winter and play some ball! This year is no different. After a
winter that gave us an April 1st snow storm and a rain out for opening day, we are ready to start. As always Pops will be in attendance to throw out the first pitch. It will indeed be a great way to start
the year.
On the docket is Zack Vs Steve,
Zack want to have first crack at the champ. On paper its an absolute miss match. The Steve is 11-1 his last 12
including an 11 game winning streak. Zack is 2-10 his last 12 and will be looking to start off well after an epic collapse
in 2010. You never know what can happen.....I think it will be closer than you would think. Steve
12-7.
After that sure match-up are free rolling. Boom Vs
Canu was supposed to happen but, Due to a prior commitment Canu will be leaving us before Boom arrives. When they do
play it will be a great old school match-up! My guess is that Boom gets it going early and wins a close one. Boom 7-5
Then it will be anyone game. The field will be ready to play and that is the important
thing. The field which was given a bit of a make over has a new top on the fence. Thanks to the NALL for them
allowing us to take the old top from their fence. With that now on our fence we are looking good. There is always
plenty to be done at the field and we will be working on it over the course of the year. I want to thank everyone who
helped get these things done and get us ready to play.
